Destination: Paloma

Destination: Paloma

Bienvenue à la plage Paloma. A hidden treat situated off the coast of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera. Known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant culture, Paloma Beach is a haven for relaxation, exquisite cuisine, and immersive experiences in the beauty of the Côte d'Azur.

The Paloma tee was the second shade launched in our backless collection. Quite literally, Paloma was inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Côte d'Azur, crafted in a dazzling blue shade that captures the glistening water of the iconic destination.

I was fortunate to travel to the French Riviera last Summer and visit the infamous Paloma beach (wearing my Paloma tee of course). Once we arrived at the beach, we indulged in a leisurely lunch at the beach club, and found a perfect spot to relax on the pebble beach. The scenery at Paloma Beach was spectacular, and it was a dream come true to experience the vision behind our Paloma tee, which I had been imagining for so long!!

Throughout the rest of my journey along the French Riviera, I was struck by the region's dedication to preserving its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The careful balance between luxury and simplicity, as well as the commitment to sustainable practices, resonated with our brand's values and our desire to create fashion that respects both the environment and the people who wear it.

GUIDE

I've compiled a guide based on my quick visit to the French Riviera last July. Definitely check it out if you're planning to travel there!

STAYS:

We first stayed in Villefranche-sur-mer, which was absolutely enchanting. This location is ideal if you want to travel to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat or further along the eastern coastline. I would definitely recommend spending some time in Villefranche, as it is a little quieter and much closer to smaller hidden beaches that offer a more cultural experience!

-We spent most of our time in central Nice, a bustling hub that offered an abundance of culture, cuisine, and tourist activities. This lively spot provided endless opportunities to explore the city's vibrant atmosphere. However, the main beach tended to get extremely busy, so we found ourselves preferring to venture out to smaller, more secluded beaches along the coast for a serene and relaxing experience

EATS AND DRINKS:

During my stay in the French Riviera, I actually came down with food poisining, so I didn't have the opportunity to explore much!

Although, we did come across this small Japanese restaurant that was absolutely delicious- we went back twice! I've included this restaurant, plus a few others that were recommended to me.

- Maido Nice [Japanese Restaurant]
- Le Plongeoir [Restaurant, Bar]

- Le bistro D'Antoine [Restaurant]

- Foam [Vegan Restaurant, Bar]

What to do?!:

Realistically, if you're in the French Riviera on holiday, you'll definitely be spending some (or all) time by the beach. We explored a few different beaches during our stay, and definitely preferred the smaller beaches further East of Nice. Keep in mind, most beaches in the South of France are commercial, so you will have to pay entry for a chair if you want to sit within the beach club. However, most beaches do have a free area, you just have to get there earlier to beat the crowd!

Beaches

- Plage de Passable

- Plage des Marinières

- Eden Plage Mala

- Plage Paloma

- Plage d'Èze

- Castel Plage (Nice main beach)

Other Activities

I found a heap of recommendations from @mia.in.france on Instagram. I definitely recommend checking out her page, especially if you're planning to travel to other parts of the French Riviera!

I hope this glimpse into the creative process and inspiration behind our Paloma Tee has been enlightening, as I shared our journey through the captivating French Riviera.
